Another form is what would look like a blackhead or a hard pimple which a little squeeze and it will pop like a spot and out it will come normally, followed by this pearly consistency and the hair which is no longer in the follicle.

The worse kind is one which curls back on its self so the tip on the hair inverts in and the hair continues to grow, bacteria then forms and that is where we can start to see or feel problems. They can be very painful, look extremely red and inflamed. When an ingrown hair gets to this point it can be very difficult to get rid of. However, not impossible.
